Great read, and good on the facts. One important bolt-on missed that's worth including for higher rpms. Should be setting that coil gap for a racing coil, which is basically the same as stock but comes with the resistors disabled, and a tough silicone wire and boot. It prevents spark breaking down at high rpms. Gap recommended is .030" - .040" only when using a racing flywheel, as they have the much stronger rare earth magnets to get that hot spark. My PVL flywheel comes at 28 degrees advance, and I use a 6.5 degree advance key (34.5 total) running straight regular gasoline. NOTE: That air intake adapter for the high flow air filter can be a flat milled piece with a hole in it, or an engineered curved venturi opening that draws in much more air, makes more horsepower, costs the same.
